Her First Party

There was a knock on the door but I ignored it. "Come on! Now, you can't shower your boyfriend's anger on me." Anuj groaned at his failed attempt on convincing me. "Are you going to be locked in the room for the entire day? Ehaan was on the verge of informing your mom that you bunked your classes today. Thank me, I stopped him." He paused on finding that he was blabbering to himself. "Ru... come on! Everyone is waiting for you."

"I am not coming, Anuj," I yelled due to his continuous attempt. "Stop troubling me and leave."

"Why? I heard from Zara; you were excited about the party."

"Exactly! I was," I cleared it to him. "But then I realized that I was too innocent for the party. My request was rejected due to someone and now its accepted due to that someone. I am done with him deciding what I want in life and what I don't."

I heard knob twisting and my orbs enlarged in horror. And soon the door was pushed open. And Ehaan's furious orbs got into my view. There was no sign of Anuj where did he disappear?  "Do you have any idea how much you test my patience?" He gritted his teeth. His hands rubbed his face, his exhausted yet frustrated orbs staring at me. "Get out of the bed, I will give you five minutes. Or I won't mind dragging you in the same dress." He warned sounding determined to do the need full.

I stared at the trousers and pink cartoon top and groaned at the thought. "You won't..." I argued trying to sound as confident as I could build.

"Don't challenge me, angel." He smirked as he took a step toward me. "I love challenges," he winked finding a hint of fear displaying on my face.

"Don't behave like a devil." I pouted, "You can't control my life." I whined, stamping my foot in annoyance. I saw a hint of amusement in his orbs.

"Trust me, baby..." his voice turning husky. "I never want to control you or your life." He whispered as his arms found their way to my waist as he pulled me to his chest.

"This isn't going to work," I groaned seeing that I was melting due to his charm. "Stay away," I attempted to pull myself off him. "I am not coming in your charm."

"You have already come in my charm, angel." He muttered pressing a kiss on my forehead. "Get ready before Zara lose her patience and spoil our beautiful moment."

"You didn't want me to attend the party so what changed?" I inquired raising my head to stare in his orbs.

"Maybe Zara is correct, I need to work on my past wounds to make this." He pointed between us, "To work. I can't afford to lose you," he whispered as he pressed his forehead on mine, our orbs meeting each other.

I grinned like an idiot as he confessed. I adored it when he got so expressive. It made me believe that he trusted me with his deepest-most, vulnerable feelings. "Fine, I will get ready in a second." I jumped pressing a kiss on his cheek. "I love you," my smile reached my eyes on seeing peace covering his face.

"I know," I groaned while he chuckled and pressed a kiss on my forehead. "Make it fast, love." He whispered in my ears as he walked out. I stood there staring at his retreating figure. My heart skipped each time he treated like I was his entire world, I was the reason he lived, he was breathing. But what should I do about the building insecurities? I couldn't believe that his choice was me over so mesmerizing beauty revolving around him. Anyone would die to grab a dance with him and dating him was like a treasure.

I shook my head as I pushed my leg to find something in the wardrobe that Zara had stubbornly arranged for me.

I stared at the black piece of dress that perfectly fitted my body. It reached my knees, sleeveless so a jacket was wrapped around my shoulder. Zara had highlighted my orbs with eyeliner, and my lips were shining due to the dark lipstick. I groaned at the loud color.

"I still think, light suited better."

She narrowed her orbs at me, "I am not a fan of such a thing either but I need to show someone I can be hot if I wish to," she muttered hiding her pain behind her beautiful smile. She was the strongest girl, I had never come across such a girl.

She was wearing a black dress as well as it was the theme of the party. Her face filled with makeup as she passed a reassuring smile at me. "Don't worry, I had faced worse than this." She scanned my feature in the mirror. "We will leave the hair open?" She inquired much to herself as she started combing my hair.

"Had you asked him, why he did that?" I stared at Zara in concern. How could someone break such a beautiful soul's heart?

"What's there to ask him?" Zara shook her head, "I knew it all along. Much before we even dated. I had seen him grow up; we were friends from childhood. He can't stay committed. It's not in him."

"But Zara..." I was going to argue but Zara gestured me to stop.

"I want to enjoy this day. I can't allow him to spoil my day or my life. If he doesn't want to commit, it's his loss. I am Zara Shah and will be Zara Shah with or without him, it doesn't matter." She winked at me, bringing a smile to my face.

I just love the way she holds herself. The way she never allowed her emotions to be her weakness, I had so much to learn from her personality. The confidence she held.

"You look sexy..." she complimented as she scanned me from head to toe. I was wearing a pointed-heels that was hurting my feet. My naturally wavy hair went well with the dress, and a sweet pendant having the initials of Ruhaan made a blush cover my cheek. It was Anuj's gift to me on my last birthday. He had promised that he would name our son Ruhaan.

"If you're blushing at my comment so much. How are you going react to Ehaan's compliment?" She teased nudging my shoulder while I lowered my gaze in shyness.

"Ehaan is going to dismiss the thought of her attending the party in this dress." Commented Anuj as he walked inside the room. "I had asked you to help her not to create more trouble on her path to her first party." Anuj narrowed his orbs at Zara.

"What's wrong with the dress? She looks freaking sexy." Zara complimented sounding proud of her work. "I never knew, I had a hand in that department." She made faces on realizing that she had behaved like the typical female gender.

"I always told you; you were female from within you just couldn't find it." Anuj winked and received a punch from Zara in response to his teasing. "But on a serious note, what are you up to? Where are my Miss Innocent and my buddy? Who are these two ladies standing in front of me?"

"These ladies are going to rule the world tonight." She wrapped her arm around my shoulder, "isn't it?"

I gave a hesitant nod, I wasn't fully convinced if I wanted to walk into the party with the dress I was wearing.

"Just make sure this doesn't turn out Ruhi's last party." Anuj sounded as unsure as I was.

"Don't spoil the moment, Anuj." Zara groaned at his pessimist nature. "Don't spoil our mood," she grumbled pulling me away with her.

"Slow down, Zara," I muttered attempting to keep up with Zara's high speed. The high-pointed heel was making it unbearable to descend down the stairs. I grumbled on her realizing she had worn flats while forcing me to wear such heightened heels. Her reason was, she wanted me to perfectly match Ehaan's height.

"Oh! My!" We heard surprised cheers as we reached the last stair. "I can't believe my eyes." Tarun acted his dramatic self as he was the first to move from the couch to glance at us. "I can say the wait was worth it if I get to see something as beautiful as this," he muttered making me blush at his intense gaze.

"Had you forgotten, I am also here?" Zara hit him on his head complaining for not providing her with attention.

"Forget him, Zara." Varun spoke, "he is on a mission to impress Ruhi. He had lost his mind if he thinks he holds any chance in front of Ehaan." Tarun rolled his eyes at his comment. "You look damn beautiful. For the first time a lady," he raised his brow in an impressed manner. "I would have asked you to be my date for tonight if you were not already dating my buddy."

My face turned pale as I saw Zara's face losing the smile but she was fast to fake it soon. Her orbs found their way to Aarav. "I think your buddy won't mind if you be my date tonight." She stared at Aarav who was staring at Zara with an unreadable expression. I got a glimpse of the before version of Aarav. The close, masked version of him.

"Why would I mind?" He shrugged his shoulder but Varun stared between them with a questioning look. Maybe reading between the lines.

"If your matter is clear, shall I talk?" Tarun sounded pissed at Varun's interruption.

"All yours..." Varun smiled at his annoyed face.

"Ehaan!" Niti exclaimed, "You missed the perfect movie scene." She complained while Ehaan's orbs were fixed on his cell. He seemed stressed as if something was troubling him.

"What movie scene?" He frowned as he raised his orbs from his mobile scene. "Don't start with watching a movie than Pia won't dare to move without completing it." He groaned at the thought, "I want to attend the party. They..." his eyes roamed around the living area and halted on me.

He was dressed in black, nothing new. Those perfect leather jackets, his chestnut hair perfectly combed yet falling on his forehead. His dark brown orbs seemed exhausted but as his brain registered what he was staring there was a hint of admiration and surprise but it soon turned into displeasure.

His feet walked towards me. "What are you wearing?" He whispered into my ears as soon as he stood inches away from me.

"Where are your manners, Mr. Kashyap?" Zara groaned at his rude behavior. "You should compliment the minute you glance at your girlfriend. No matter what she is wearing," she shrugged her shoulder in disappointment.

"Zara?" Ehaan sounded startled making Varun and Tarun chuckle. Zara glared in their direction. "What got upon you?"

"What's wrong with you guys?" Niti came in support. "They tried something new; you should support them."

"I am not supporting anyone in this craziness," Ehaan growled as he clenched his fist. His orbs scanned me from top to toe, his orbs softening for a second. "She isn't wearing this..." he sounded determined.

"And then you go around saying you don't want to control me." I felt so humiliated in front of his friends. "Fine, I am not wearing this dress and neither I am coming for the party. You, people, can enjoy yourself." I announced as I turned to walk away when he grabbed my wrist. "Don't..." I whispered attempting hard to control my tears.

"I can't allow you to wear such a dress, Ruhi." His tone was soft as if he was pleading with me.

"Others are wearing a more exposed dress than me," my back towards him. Indicating that his so-called friends were wearing it yet he was bothered about my most-decent dress among them. "And girls over there will be wearing even worse."

"I don't care what others are wearing." He growled as if he was attempting hard to hold his temper. "All I care about is that I can't tolerate if someone will stare at you like you're a piece of meat." His grip on my wrist tighten an indicator that he was fuming in anger. I turned to face him, "That place doesn't deserve your innocence, angel. I am fucking scared that I won't be able to protect you from that cruel world."

His eyes radiated so much helplessness at that moment. "Ehaan..." I almost cried, "You will always protect me. I have full faith in you. And your angel is no longer innocent. You all have spoiled her enough." I reached to caress his face.

"You're just so not aware how innocent you're." He muttered as he leaned, our forehead touching each other. "Damn..." he cursed, "I would have loved it if we were alone at this moment. I would have fucking kissed you, after seeing you looking so adorably sexy in this dress."

"Oh! My! We don't mind! We don't at all mind!" Niti's voice boomed bringing me out of Ehaan's mesmerizing orbs. When he was so close to me, I would forget that world even exists. We would be so caught up in each other to realize about others.

"Ugh! Next time my Ruhaan are having a moment I am locking her in a room." Anuj groaned as he descended the stairs.

"I am with you on it!" Zara joined him.

"So, what is decided? Are we leaving or are you both planning to have some quality time together? Not that we mind," Anuj shrugged his shoulder, making me blush while Ehaan glared at him.

"Wait a second!" Niti interrupted, "Who is Ruhaan?" she sounded curious.

"I will introduce them on our way," Anuj muttered wrapping an arm around Niti and pulling her away with him. They looked like an adorable couple. I had to question him about his feeling towards her.

"So, if everyone is done. Can I ask her something?" Tarun inquired; he didn't wait for approval as he muttered. "Can you be my date for tonight?" My orbs were wide open as I registered his words.

Ehaan's grip on my waist tightened, "Tarun I had mentioned before..."

"That she is off-limits." Tarun chuckled glancing at fuming Ehaan. "Trust me, I am not trying to charm her. I am just asking for a date as like always you're going to attend it with Pia, isn't it?"

"Obviously, they had been a hot couple for the past two years," Aarav muttered, my heart shrink at his words. Hot couple, flashes crossed my mind. I glanced at Pia's hopeful gaze staring at Ehaan. No! Not again, I averted my gaze. No, the past wasn't repeating. That can't happen!

I struggled to put some distance between me and Ehaan. "So, Ruhi what's your answer?" Tarun was staring at me with a hopeful gaze. I was attempting hard to pull my tears back.

"No," Ehaan groaned.

Tarun stared at Ehaan in confusion. "what?"

"I said, no." He gritted his teeth together. "Her answer is no," his orbs finding mine. "She won't go on a date with you because I am fucking alive." Though at that moment he seemed like a furious lion I couldn't help from the blush covering my face. He had lost it!

"Damn... that possessiveness. No wonder Niti can't stop herself from adoring you both." Zara admired, her orbs averting to Varun. "Now, will you walk me to the car or have you forgotten how gentlemen act?"

"You're well aware none of us are gentlemen," Varun rolled his eyes, extending his hand.

"But I can make one act like he is," she winked as she kept her hand in his and they walked out laughing.

I started at Tarun, who was masking a smile. "Tarun..." I felt bad for making him feel rejected. He didn't deserve Ehaan's rude behavior.

"Don't..." Ehaan groaned in my ears. "He had a crush on you and I don't want you to raise any of his hopes."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "He don't! He was just asking for a dance," I shook my head. I smiled at Tarun who was staring at us with a smile. "I think we can swift partners in the party and surely we can have few minutes for us."

Tarun grinned at my words, "It will be an honor to spent few minutes with you." He winked making me giggle while Ehaan groaned.

"We are getting late," Ehaan growled dragging me away from Tarun. As we were moving, I got a glimpse of Aarav staring at Pia in concern, what was going on? Did Aarav have a problem with me? He always wanted Mia for Ehaan and now he was indirectly supporting Pia.

I groaned as I averted my gaze from window towards Ehaan. "How long are you planning to be mad at me?"

His orbs were fixed on the route, his jaw clenching was the indicator that he was affected with my words. "Come on! He is your friend. You can't be jealous that your friend was talking with me?"

"Correction, he wasn't talking." He gritted his teeth. "Damn, he was flirting." His orbs glanced at me for a second before averting back to the route. "And you were encouraging him with it."

"You're worse than my father. No wonder he trusts you so much." I shook my head, as I reached to him.

He jerked my hand away, "don't..." he hissed.

"Ehaan," I whined attempting to reach to caress his face. "Are you even aware of how cute you look when you're jealous?" I giggled seeing him glaring at me. "Though I don't like you fuming in rage but your jealous self is my favourite," I muttered as I pressed a kiss on his cheek.

His arms got wrapped around my waist pulling me closer to his chest. "I wasn't jealous." He muttered, his orbs straight on the path.

"Yeah, right..." I rolled my eyes. Resting my head on his chest, he pressed a kiss on my hairs.

"Is this the same institute I attended today?" My jaw was wide open in amazement. Red carpet was thrown on the ground, numerous vases of flowers were arranged on either corner, providing it with elegant look.

I gasped as Ehaan opened the door of the passenger seat, a smirk playing on his lip. "Welcome to JJD." He winked making my heart skip a beat. That was how I wished my first day in college would be, him introducing me to his world.

He extended his hand in a gentlemanly manner making me chuckle. "It doesn't suit you," I muttered putting my hands on his palms.

"But you like it being all gentleman." He groaned, "I had heard enough of your rants on your fictional characters."

I narrowed my eyes at him as his hand soon found its way to my back. "Don't complain about my fictional male characters they are far better than you."

He gestured me to take a step forward and soon I felt many eyes planting on us. There were cheers surrounding us. "Ehaan Kashyap," the feminine voice ruled the crowd.

"Girls surrounding us think, I am far better." He whispered in my ears while I attempted to brush his arms off but his grip was tight.

"Hey! Ehaan," one from the crowd walked towards us. "We thought you had your date fixed but seems like there is change in plans." He joked glancing in my direction. "Would say, buddy. Your choice never fails to impress." The guy was dressed in black having amazing features but his personality gave off bad vibes. The way he was staring at me.

"Not everyone can be Ehaan Kashyap to have such a wonderful choice," Ehaan responded attempting to calm his building possessiveness.

"None are denying it. There is only one Ehaan Kashyap in this world." We heard another voice and my orbs enlarged in horror as Rudr walked towards us. "That's the reason I love fighting with you. You always make it worth remembering," he smirked his orbs moving between us.

"Its not easy to forget one's defeat. I understand your feeling," Ehaan countered back making my orbs enlarge in tension. "If you both might excuse, we hadn't come here to entertain you both." With those words we walked from them, entering the venue.

The loud music was making me deaf the minute I kept a foot inside. I was feeling suffocated after seeing the number of people that had accumulated in the building. I enlarged my orbs in horror. Was I excited for this?

"Welcome to your first adult party," he muttered into my ears as I saw people standing on the dance floor, they weren't standing they were sulking each other's face and a loud crowd was cheering for them.

"What on the earth are they doing?" I inquired in horror as I saw some guys throwing champagne on their companion's head.

"Enjoying the party, angel." I could feel his smirk, he was enjoying my reaction.

"In the name of the party were you doing all this thing as well?" I got a glimpse of another couple making out on the couch.

"Worse than it," he spoke in a husky manner. I gasped as I turned to face him, arms folded around my chest to pull an angry exterior before him.

"How dare you, Mr Kashyap?" My orbs were glaring at him. "How can you even..." I couldn't even imagine it. How could people even think of doing it?

"Even, what?" He smirked, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Those awful things..." I made faces making him chuckle.

"That awful things are the reason we are breathing. Reproduction is a necessary element to keep the world moving."

"I don't want to talk about it," I was attempting to walk away but he had me trapped in his grip.

"Come on! You loved biology," he winked.

"Ehaan!" I whined.

He chuckled, "You are the most adorable human existing on the planet."

"And you're the worst-most annoying human to ever exist." I hissed while he grinned. The way he smiled; a slight hint of those dimples could always make my heart skip a beat.

"But you have fallen-deeply and madly in love with that human," he whispered. His hands reached to cup my face as a blush spread on my cheek. "Miss Innocent," he whispered pressing a kiss on my cheek.

"Oh! My!" We heard a familiar voice and I pulled myself away from him. "At least get a room," Niti muttered having a teasing smile.

"What is she doing over here?" Ehaan groaned glaring at Niti's enthusiastic face. "Who even allowed her inside?"

"Don't act so rude," Anuj came in support. "Spare the stupid, naïve girl." He wrapped his arms around her shoulder.

"Don't tell me you have finally listened to her request and you're his date for the night?" Inquired Varun, a sweet smile playing on his lips as if he wanted the same for him.

"Don't set your hopes high. I just wanted her to know how awful dancer I am. So, she stops troubling me in future." Niti just rolled her eyes at his comment.

"Where is Aarav?" Ehaan inquired, not finding him among them.

"Here, dude." Aarav's arms were wrapped around Pia's. "If you abandon someone at last minutes someone have to be there to hold them." His smile didn't reach his eyes as if he was disappointed with Ehaan's decision.

"Sorry, to interrupt." Anuj jumped in. "But I don't think anyone had abandon anyone. Ehaan had his priority set and everyone among us are aware about it." Anuj glanced at us as he offered a smile at me.

"But Pia wasn't informed about it. Like every year, she hoped that he will be her date." Aarav sounded defensive, his orbs fuming in rage. Pia stood beside him, attempting to calm him down.

"Why are we making such a buzz about it? I don't have a date along with me, am I complaining?" Tarun shrugged his shoulder, "Just have enough confidence in yourself that if you ask any random girl, they won't reject you." Tarun spied the hall. "Watch me guys," he muttered and walked towards a girl who was standing alone in a corner. He approached her and muttered something to her, he extended his hands and she grabbed it. He passed a wink at us as he walked off.

"What to do Tarun," Zara muttered. "Some people can't enjoy and neither allows others to." She commented as she passed a look at Varun. "I just need a drink," and she slipped into the crowd.

Aarav grumbled some curses as he left us as well followed by Pia. The remaining individuals passed a look at one another. It seemed like none was going to enjoy the party.

"Your Highness," Tarun walked up towards me a mischievous smile playing on his lip. "You have promised a dance with me," he kneeled before me making me giggle.

"She isn't in a mood," Ehaan grumbled. I laughed staring at his jealous self.

"I will love too," I kept my hands on Tarun's palm. As he pulled it towards his lip and pressed a kiss on my knuckles.

"Do you have a death wish Mr Tarun?" Anuj sounded stunned by Tarun's over flirting nature.

"No, I am just trying to be a gentleman." I laughed listening to his explanation. Tarun frowned at my reaction while I heard a growl escaping from Ehaan. "Did I say something wrong? Do you prefer, bad boys? I can be that too, rude and arrogant just like Mr Kashyap."

"No," I stopped my giggles. "I would any day prefer, a soft and sweet gentleman." I got on my feet to walk towards the dance floor.

"You better take care of her," Ehaan warned over the loud music playing in the background.

"You have clearly whipped him. I see a different version of Ehaan from the minute you have entered the college. His life revolves around you." He had a sweet smile playing on his lips as we settled on the dance floor. I blushed at his words.

"It's weird, I normally don't get this comfortable around strangers." I smiled at him in gratification.

"Don't break my heart calling me a stranger." He kept his hand on his heart to add a dramatic effect. "Aren't we friends?" He stared at me with a hopeful gaze.

"I hardly know you to call you friend. We are mutual friends, will that be fine?"

He laughed at my label, "sure anything will be fine other than strangers." I laughed at his words as his arms wrapped around my waist I reached to his shoulder and we started dancing to the romantic tone playing in the background. "I heard that you were dance queen in heaven's high."

I giggled at his compliment as I attempted to hide my blush. "I love dancing..." My mind couldn't come up with any better response.

"So, you're going to apply for the dance club? Your boyfriend is the leader of that club. Oh! Wait a second, isn't he the head of every club? You had got a very talented human as a boyfriend."

"Should I say that I had met another fan of his?" I raised my brow in a tease.

"Half of the city is his fan. He is gifted," his orbs moved toward a corner.

I glanced to find him staring at Ehaan who was busy having a conversation with Anuj. "Surely he is," I whispered and soon Ehaan's orb found their way to me. Those furious orbs softened the second they glanced at me as if I was the peace he breathed.
